Our Story
Our Collective Foods began with a simple belief: that food is one of the most powerful forces in human life — and that most of us have been taught to take it for granted.
Food is political. It is racialized, classed, and deeply tied to health, community, and the land. It carries history and culture. It connects us to ecosystems we rarely think about and to people we may never meet. We started OCF because we wanted to tell those stories — not through essays or lectures, but through experience. Through taste, scent, and conversation around a shared table.
Every event we create is an invitation to see food differently. To ask where it came from, who grew it, and what it means. To sit with those questions with curiosity and an open appetite.
